Mezcal Margaritas
Earthy + Sour + Salty + Sweet
Margaritas are my absolute favorite cocktail. I love them because they encompass so many flavors— earthy, sour, salty, sweet. Mezcal has so many different flavor profiles depending on what agave varietal is used and how the mezcal is processed. Many people think of mezcal as tasting smoky, however, my favorite mezcals tend to be more herbaceous and bright, very little smoke. My go-to mezcal brands that can be found easily in Portland are the Banhez Mezcal Artesanal, Ilegal Mezcal, or the Bozal Mezcal.
